Among Us Mode for Zombicide – Hidden Impostor

The Among Us mode brings the hidden-impostor idea from Among Us to any Zombicide mission. Most players work together; one or more is secretly an Impostor trying to make everyone lose. The fun is not knowing who, so this Among Us mode comes down to bluffing, accusations and the odd stab in the back.

What you need

Nothing extra to print. Reload this page to draw random Impostor and Sabotage cards from the generator below, or use a handful of normal cards to hand out roles in secret.

Among Us mode rules

  • Randomly select who is the Impostor (without the others knowing). For example, use 6 playing cards (spawn, hero, bystander) and choose 1 to be the Impostor. Each player draws one and learns their role, then shuffle the cards back. You can also use normal playing cards so a player keeps their role. (I would try 1 Impostor for 1–6 players and two for 6+.)
  • Play any mission normally.
  • Goals:
    • Heroes win if all Impostors are killed or the mission is won.
    • Impostors win if all players are dead or the mission fails.
  • Sabotage cards: at the start of each player’s turn, they draw a sabotage card (from the generator below – reload the page). Don’t show it to anyone, pick one option and read it out. Both options can be the same. Some effects are good, some are bad.
  • Revealing the Impostor: while the Impostor is hidden, any hero can guess who it is. If the guess is right, the Impostor must reveal themselves. If it is wrong, the guessing hero dies.
  • Ambush killing: once per game, the Impostor can kill a hero in their zone by revealing their role. They may then switch to the Impostor ID card (keeping XP and other cards) and take a free turn.
  • Attacking other players: every hero counts as Toughness 5. Heroes can attack each other at any time with a normal attack; on a hit the target takes 1 wound. This does not reveal any role.
